Through Mike Goldwater’s Lens

The International Association "Road to Home" is pleased to announce a collaboration for its historical memory initiative. British photojournalist Mike Goldwater will produce a short documentary about his experience covering the 1993 war in Abkhazia.

Mr. Goldwater, whose conflict photography appeared on the cover of The Independent Magazine, brings a valuable international perspective to this project. His film will focus on two defining moments: his documentation of the ethnic cleansing of Georgians during the war and his access to the Moscow Kremlin while accompanying President Eduard Shevardnadze during negotiations. We are grateful to Mr. Goldwater for sharing his archives and personal history, offering young people an opportunity to learn from his experiences.
