Address to Heads of Georgian Associations and Communities Abroad

Dear esteemed heads of Georgian associations and communities abroad,

We are pleased to inform you of the establishment of the International Association of IDPs from Abkhazia, “Road to Home,” which has been officially registered by the Ministry of Justice of Georgia and is based in Tbilisi.

The primary aim of the association is to unite Georgians living abroad and to bring together our shared national energy, creating closer ties between the Georgian diaspora and their homeland. Through peaceful means and with the active support of the international community, we seek to find a path home for all displaced persons.

In this spirit, we kindly request that your associations and communities create a department or designate a representative dedicated to working with IDPs from Abkhazia. This collaboration will enable us to strengthen our efforts for the unity and well-being of Georgia. Together, we can promote the Georgian language, history, and customs, while supporting the rights and welfare of IDPs and migrants. We also encourage active monitoring of their conditions to ensure proper protection and assistance where needed.

Furthermore, we aim to raise awareness about the violations of the rights of displaced persons, both within Georgia and internationally. Through coordinated efforts, we can bring these issues to the attention of the Georgian government and international organizations, encouraging swift and appropriate action.

This association is not limited by nationality but welcomes all individuals and groups who share our goals of peace, unity, and the preservation of human rights.

We invite you to review our charter and actively engage with us in this important mission. By standing together, we can achieve our common goal of a prosperous and unified Georgia.
